Group Lessons=$45 (1.5-hour lesson, includes board rental) Private Lessons=$60 (2-hour lesson, includes board rental)
Sport Fishing There are 2 locations that you can take off from, Mal Pais and Montezuma. The pricing is seasonal but usually around 55/hour for the boat, bait and captain. The boats can hold up to 4 people with 2 people fishing at a time. The waters here are heavy with Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Spanish Mackerel, Snapper, Sea Bass and Dorado.
Horse Back Riding Spend an afternoon riding on any of the local beaches. Let us know and we will have someone pick you up right from the hotel.
Snorkeling Shaka Beach Retreat has some snorkeling gear available for rent but if you are serious about getting under the water, we recommend that you bring your own. We can direct you to the right areas or if you desire, you can have a personal guide pick you up and take you. Cabuya island is well known for its abundance of fish and there are several tidal pools and rock lagoons around Playa Hermosa and Manzanillo worth exploring. We can also set you up with an all day excursion to Tortuga Island if desired.
ATV Peninsula Tours There is no better way to explore the peninsula then on an ATV or Quad as we call them. Great for all day getaways or just to run down to the market, Quads are the preferred mode of transportation for most of the locals. There are several Quad rental shops in Santa Teresa and we will happily hook you up with one. Rentals are usually around $65/Day.
Waterfall, Canopy and Zip Line Tours The tour in Montezuma takes around 4 hours and is a ton of fun. The tour starts in Montezuma where they bus you up to the first zipline. After a brief introduction and some training, you harness up and take off. After 3 or 4 zip lines, you’ll hike down to the river and get to play in the waterfalls before taking 3 more zip lines to the bus and back to Montezuma. This is a great afternoon tour so bring your camera.
Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve Tour Cabo Blanco is Costa Rica’s oldest nature preserve. Just 30 minutes away, this is a very special place. Check out this website for more details: http://www.nicoyapeninsula.com/caboblanco/
